RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A gas leak has forced evacuations Wednesday morning near North Carolina State University campus.

Officials say the leak, which was reported around 11 a.m., is at Rosemary and Hillsborough streets and is outside.

Hillsborough Street is blocked from Dixie Trail to Shepherd Street.

Crews did not give a timeline of when the leak will be capped. PSNC said a two-inch pipe was ruptured by a third party.

Mick Kulikowski with N.C. State said the leak is not impacting campus.

Officials say the leak was secured around 12:55 p.m.

They say repairs should take two hours.

The Raleigh Police Department and N.C. State police are responding to the incident.
