Georgia man charged with indecent liberties with child in Fayetteville

(Fayetteville Police Department)

A Georgia man has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a child after an investigation by the Fayetteville Police Department’s Special Victims Unit.
Tony Gamble, 30, of the 100 block of Laney Walker Boulevard, Augusta, Ga., was extradited back to Fayetteville on Thursday to answer the charge, which stems from an incident in June 2006, police said.
The victim was 11 at the time, police said. Gamble was an acquaintance of the victim’s family, authorities said.
Gamble is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $25,000 secured bond.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad assisted with the extradition.
