NC deputies find teen break-in suspect still inside home

MONROE, N.C. (WBTV) – Union County deputies on a call about a home break-in arrived to find the suspect still there.

The incident happened about noon Wednesday on Griffith Road. The Sheriff’s Office had a report of breaking and entering at the residence. Deputies say when they arrived, 18-year-old Jakariyen Issaiah Davis was still inside the home.

According to the sheriff’s office, Davis fled on foot and was captured after a brief chase.

Davis, of Pageland, South Carolina, is in jail charged with breaking and entering, felony larceny and resisting.

Union County Sheriff Eddie Cathey says the quick response of his deputies and excellent communication resulted in the arrest.
