Raleigh man, 64, facing multiple charges in connection with stabbing

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A 64-year-old Raleigh man has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing that occurred Sunday morning, police said.

Leander Ledbetter, of 710 S. East St., was arrested in the 500 block of S. East. Street at approximately 6:30 a.m. in connection with a stabbing incident, police said. Ledbetter and the victim were known to each other, police said.

Ledbetter was located near where the incident occurred and was arrested. The victim’s injuries are considered non-life threatening, police said.

The suspect has been charged with one count each of maiming without malice, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and injury to real property. He is being held in the Wake County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond.
