FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign coordinated a Fayetteville community forum Monday on how to put an end to police-involved shootings.
Mothers of the Movement, a group of women whose children have died in officer-involved shootings hosted the event, which drew nearly 100 people, including city and state leaders.
“It’s very sad, and it’s very upsetting,” said Michelle McRae, whose son was killed by a former Hope Mills police officer in 2014. “Words cannot describe how I feel.”
That case is still pending. The family’s attorney said the shooting was recorded on police dash cameras, and the attorney is working to have the video made public.
