Gov. Hunt speaks out in support of Hillary Clinton

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Former North Carolina Gov. Jim Hunt spoke about November’s presidential election saying Hillary Clinton is the candidate the country needs.

Hunt spoke with CBS North Carolina saying Clinton would make a great leader for only the U.S. but for the state as well.

“I saw her as a U.S. senator, not just in New York City but to go up to the upper part of the state and help the farmers there and help the people get broadband,” Hunt said. “I trust Hillary Clinton to be the kind of president that this country and that North Carolina needs.”

Hunt believes Donald Trump would be dangerous for America if elected.

Hunt’s comments come just 50 days before the election.

Clinton was slated to attend a fundraiser Tuesday in Chapel Hill but that event was postponed.
