BENSON, N.C. (WNCN) – Three family members are facing charges related to the sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
All three adults lived in one home, the sheriff’s office said. One man is accused of sexually assaulting the girl, authorities said. The other two knew about the abuse but did not interview, the sheriff’s office said.
Bobby Gene Thompson, 44, of Mamie Road, Benson was charged with first-degree forcible rape, indecent liberties with a child and first-degree sex offense, the sheriff’s office said. Kevin Ray Jackson, 35, and Amber Ann Johnson, 25, were charged Friday with felony child abuse involving a sex act.
Thompson was confined in the Johnston County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Jackson and Johnson were held on bonds of $100,000.
