Man sought after trying to rob Raleigh bank, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) –- A man tried to rob the Bank of America Tuesday morning, but ran off without the money, Raleigh police now say.

Officers were dispatched to a robbery call around 10:20 a.m. to the Bank of America at 2499 Crabtree Blvd., officials say.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and passed a note to the teller.

Police initially said the suspect fled the scene on foot after the teller complied with the note’s demands.

However, late Tuesday afternoon, police said the man “fled the bank without successfully completing the robbery.”
