WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A woman facing multiple felonies is accused of running away from the New Hanover County Courthouse during a pretrial hearing Monday morning.
According to officials, Tina Michelle Murray, 36, failed to return to court after a short recess during her hearing.
Officials say they were notified that Murray cut off her electronic monitoring device and was no longer in the downtown area.
Judge Parsons issued an arrest warrant for Murray and set her bond at $2 million when she is eventually caught.
Murray had previously been placed on electronic monitoring after posting bond in connection to two separate breaking-and-entering cases that occurred in the Pine Valley area in July 2015.
In one of the incidents, she is accused of armed robbery.
Murray’s husband, David Cox, pleaded guilty in April for his role in the cases and is serving up to 11 years in prison.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to contact the Wilmington Police Department at 910-343-3600.
