RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Raleigh will join 60 other communities Saturday in the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer on Sept. 24.
The walk/run will take place at in Research Triangle Park at 800 Park Offices Drive.
Registration for the Raleigh St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer is $10 for the walk and fun run and $20 for the chipped 5k.
Participants are encouraged to form teams and raise funds to help support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.
“Every dollar we raise goes to ensure St. Jude can continue to lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer,” said Joe Kallal, local St. Jude Walk/Run Event Chair. “So when a family has to hear those words now they know St. Jude is there for them.”
CBS North Carolina’s Sharon Tazewell will emcee the event alongside Jerry Smith from WNNL The Light.
