RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A tractor trailer crashed Wednesday off interstate 40 near Jones Sausage Road in Raleigh, officials say.

The incident happened around 1:45 p.m.

No injuries were reported, according to State Highway Patrol.

The driver of the tractor trailer lost control of the vehicle and almost crossed into eastbound lanes, officials say.

The incident may have occurred because of the slippery road conditions, officials say.

Traffic in the area is backed up because of the incident.

Officials did not say how long the traffic delay will last.
