CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – An arrest has been made in a shooting that left another man dead during Wednesday night’s protests over Keith Lamont Scott’s death.
Rayquan Borum, 26, is charged with murder in the shooting death of Justin Carr.
Carr was shot around 8:30 p.m. on East Trade Street, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say.
Just before 6 p.m. Thursday, sources close to Carr’s family confirmed he died.

Officials say approximately seven law enforcement officers were injured during the protests. Two employees at the Hyatt House on the 400 block of East Trade Street were also injured.
Questions initially emerged over who fired the shot. Charlotte officials tweeted that the shot was fired by a civilian, and not a Charlotte officer.
