Suspect in August slaying of Fayetteville landlord still at large, police say

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Police are still seeking help from the public in locating a 21-year-old man accused of murdering a Fayetteville landlord.

Travis Edward Jefferson is wanted for first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Victor Cirello.

Jefferson was charged on Aug. 5. Police consider him to be armed and dangerous.

The incident occurred around 2:18 p.m. on Aug. 1 near the 1900 block of Boxwood Lane, according to Fayetteville police.

Cirello, a landlord at Lakeside Mobile Home Park, was shot and killed during a robbery.

Police are encouraging friends and family of Jefferson to have him surrender to authorities.
