Wake County public school officials say the boys’ bus stop is the end of their driveway.

The pair were not there, but in their front yard when they were struck, school officials said.

“It’s got to be more attention paid to the traffic where the cars are going and how they are passing by,” Wake County resident George Nichols said. “The drivers have to be more alert as to where the people are. Anytime you go by a person walking on the road you need to slow down.”
