GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – Goldsboro police are looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that occurred late on Saturday.
Goldsboro police responded to a traffic crash involving a pedestrian just after 11:20 p.m. in the area of SR-1591 near America’s Best Value Inn, located at 701 U.S. Highway 70 east, police said. Upon arrival, officers and EMS workers found that Windom Levi Elliott, 39, of Show Low, Arizona, had been hit by a vehicle while walking along the edge of the service road.

The investigation has determined that the suspect vehicle is a dark blue pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-150 or something similar, police said. The model year is believed to be between 2004-2008 and the truck may have a cover over the back bed. Police said the pickup will have front right side (headlight area) and right side-view mirror damage.
