Puppies from Cabarrus raid headed to Wake


RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Puppies from a puppy mill raid in Cabarrus County earlier this week will soon be in Wake County.

“Several of the animals that were found in deplorable conditions will soon be making their way to the SPCA of Wake County where our team will provide the care and attention they need to thrive,” said the group’s communications manager, Tara Lynn, in a press release.

Officials seized a total of 105 dogs, 20 cats and three goats in that raid, which was prompted by an anonymous tip.

More information is expected by next week, according to the SPCA.
