CARY, N.C. (WNCN) – The Wake County School Board received on Tuesday the second version of a plan to move students around once three new schools open next year.
Parents can go online and post feedback to a discussion board on the new version of the 2017-2018 Student Enrollment Proposal.
They can also attend one of two public hearings scheduled next week at two elementary schools.
According to the online discussion, the staff looked at possibly making changes to the original draft because of feedback from parents from the Cary Park neighborhood. They said online, however, that they believe students still need to be moved to fill the new Hortons Creek Elementary School and relieve crowding at Mills Park Elementary.
A final plan will be submitted and approved by the end of the year.
