Central NC high school football games rescheduled because of Hurricane Matthew

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — As Hurricane Matthews appears to be tracking near North Carolina and weather forecasters say that heavy rain and high winds are likely the Triangle area, some high schools are changing schedules for football, including practices.

In Durham County, on Tuesday officials announced all athletic practices were cancelled for Friday.

Also, these Durham County football games have been rescheduled to Thursday, October 6 at 7 p.m.:

  • Hillside vs. Cardinal Gibbons
  • Southern vs. Chapel Hill
  • Jordan vs Northern

Riverside has no game this week.
