FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Officials in Cumberland County announced Wednesday afternoon that several high school football games planned for Friday night would be moved to Thursday instead.
The rescheduling comes as Hurricane Matthew looms off the east coast and might cause weather problems in Central North Carolina.
The schedule for the Thursday games is:
Seventy-First at Cape Fear — 7 p.m.
Lee County at Terry Sanford — 7 p.m.
Union Pines at Douglas Byrd — 7 p.m.
Gray’s Creek at Southern Lee — 7 p.m.
EE Smith at Jack Britt — 7:30 p.m.
Pine Forest at South View — 7:30 p.m.
