Police release sketch of man who stabbed and robbed N.C. State student on campus

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Campus police on Wednesday released a sketch of a man they believe stabbed and robbed a N.C. State student on campus last week.

A female N.C. State student was robbed and stabbed Friday afternoon while she was walking through Varsity Lot, police said.

The student was walking through the Varsity Lot when a male suspect in his early 20s took her bookbag.

The student was also stabbed with a small knife, police said.

The suspect was wearing a gray sweater and blue jeans.  Police described the suspect as a dark-skinned black man, possibly in his early 20’s with possible dreadlocks and acne on the right side of his face. Police also said he is between 5’9” and 5’10” tall and weighs between 150-160 lbs.

The suspect fled from the area on foot heading through Varsity Lot towards Gorman Street.
