GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A Goldsboro man has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine after being found in possession of about three pounds of the substance, police said.
Reginald Darnell Shankle, 27, of 125 Vanderbuilt Circle, was arrested Oct. 5, according to the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Task Force.
His bond was set at $50,000 secured, police said.
Officers were told that Shankle would have a lot of methamphetamine in West Haven Apartments, the task force said. After surveillance confirmed he had the drugs, police stopped his vehicle and searched it, according to police.
Police estimated the drugs would have been worth $150,000 on the street.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Wilson Police Department assisted in the investigation.
