FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A woman told police she was kidnapped at gunpoint Wednesday in Fayetteville before being sexually assaulted in an abandoned home.
The victim was walking near Longhorn Drive by Westover High School around 10 p.m. when a vehicle pulled alongside her.
Police said three men exited the vehicle with handguns and forced the victim in the vehicle.
The victim was then blindfolded and forced into the backseat of the suspects’ vehicle.
Fayetteville police said the men then sexually assaulted the woman in an abandoned home in Godwin.
She later broke free and ran to a nearby home to call 911.
Police described the suspects as:
- Mid 30s-40s, heavyset build, standing a little more than 6 feet tall with a beard
- Mid 30s-40s, heavyset build, standing a little more than 6 feet tall and was clean shaven
- Mid 30s-40s, slender build, standing around 5 feet 8 inches tall with a mustache
Fayetteville detectives said a suspects referred to another as “Junior.”
They may have been driving a small dark blue or black car, possibly a Toyota Camry or a Nissan, with squeaky brakes.
“These suspects need to be identified for this heinous act and arrested,” Fayetteville police said in a release.
