GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A man holding two “samurai swords” in Greenville has been taken into custody after a standoff Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Portions of White Horse Road were blocked during the standoff.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said deputies spotted the man outside his house “whipping around two samurai swords.”
When they tried to talk to him, they said he took a combat stance towards officers and started to back up to his porch.
He was later taken into custody. No one was injured.
Deputies said they have dealt with the man before.
He was sent to the hospital for evalutaiton.
