FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fayetteville police have charged a man in connection with an October 2013 rape.
Police announced Tuesday that they had obtained a warrant for the arrest of Robert Frederick Williams, 49, of Greensboro, on Oct. 7 in connection with an Oct. 19, 2013 rape.
Williams is accused of raping a woman in the 1200 block of Bragg Boulevard. According to investigators, the victim told police that Williams raped her at knife point as she was walking back to her vehicle after having run out of fuel.
Williams was arrested by officers with the Greensboro Police Department on Oct. 8 on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, and sexual battery.
He is being held in the Guilford County Detention Center under a $1 million secured bond.
