Virginia police seek man who groped woman, fled in U-Haul


RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted for allegedly inappropriately touching a female back in August.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 18, police say a female employee at Restaurante y Taqueria Panchito located at 6531 Midlothian Turnpike reported a male suspect grabbed her buttocks before fleeing the restaurant and driving away in a orange and white U-Haul truck.

The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall, 190-pound black male who wore a white tank top and black athletic shorts with white stripes on the sides at the time of the incident.

Detectives ask anyone who can identify this individual to call Detective James Higgins at (804) 646-7570. Citizens can contact Crime Stoppers by calling 780-1000, online at or by texting Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the keyword “ITip” followed by your tip. Crime Stoppers is anonymous.
