Armed man fires gun before stealing vehicle at NC Wal-Mart gas station

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – An armed man wearing a red bandana on his face stole a vehicle at a Fayetteville Wal-Mart gas station following a confrontation with the vehicle’s owner.

Around 5:25 p.m., police said a man parked his 2006 Nissan Altima at the Wal-Mart gas station at 3421 Murchison Road.

When the driver was inside the business, a male suspect approached a female passenger still inside the Altima.

The suspect demanded money from the passenger before the driver returned and confronted the man.

The suspect pulled out a handgun and fired a single round into the ground. He then ordered the passenger out of the vehicle.

The suspect, who was white-t shirt, with a red bandana around his face, and a white shirt around his head, drove off in the Altima before abandoning it less than a mile from the scene.

The names of the victims have not been released.
