RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Raleigh couple is amazed at what their community did to help others impacted by the flooding.
They put out a call on social media to get needed items for places in Robeson County — where they used to live — that have been hit by flooding.
Volunteers came to help load up collected items after sorting them this evening.
The couple thinks they’ve collected enough donations to fill a rental truck after items overflowed from their garage.
Brad Davis says he’s now a believer in the power of social media.
“The outpouring of love has been just amazing with people being able to reach out and help with whatever was needed,” Brad Davis.
The couple also plans to fill another UHaul with supplies this weekend when they set up outside the Kroger in Cary.
