31st International Festival of Raleigh underway

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – the 31st International Festival of Raleigh is set to showcase a rich blend of cultures from across the globe Oct. 14-16.

The three-day festival at the Raleigh Conventional Center allows guests to experience food, dance, and culture from more than 60 different groups from all over the world.

The festival has activities for the whole family.

The International Festival of Raleigh was established in 1985 to help increase the understanding of different cultures.

A Naturalization Ceremony and voter registration of new citizens has been apart of the festival since 1988. CBS North Carolina’s Sean Maroney spoke at the 2016 ceremony which saw 120 people from 51 different countries become U.S. citizens.

Friday, Oct. 14
10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 15
10 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 16
11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
