Former SC elementary school teacher accused of assault at school


EASLEY, S.C. (WSPA) – A former teacher was arrested after warrants say she tied a student’s hand to her own shoe at West End Elementary.

Easley Police arrested 24-year-old Jordan Katherine McAbee and charged her with third degree Assault and Battery.

The school’s website did have her listed as a first grade teacher at the school.

The district says she is no longer employed with them.

The incident happened on Sept. 29 at 8 a.m. at the school, according to the report.

The victim is listed as an acquaintance and there there were no visible injuries, according to the report.
