Pair used ‘cloned’ bank card at Chick-fil-A, Belk and other stores, NC deputies say

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Sheriff’s deputies in Cumberland County are asking the public to help identify suspects in the cloning of a card and the illegal use of a victim’s account to make purchases.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has released photos from a Chick-fil-A on Raeford Road that captured one of the transactions in which they say the card was used. Deputies say the pair using the card is driving a newer white Dodge, and they have also released a surveillance image of the car.

The victim reported other illicit transactions involving the same account took place in the Belk at Cross Creek Mall, a Cracker Barrel, a Champs Sports and a Red Lobster, deptuies said.
