ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) — A St. Petersburg police officer has been arrested for driving under the influence for the second time since working at the department.
Police say a Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy found 36-year-old Anthony Green asleep behind the wheel, stopped in the southbound lane of Gulf Blvd at Madeira Way Monday night around 10:49 p.m. He was driving his personal car.
He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. This is his second DUI arrest, police say. The last arrest was in 2009.
Green was sworn in as a police officer in St. Pete in November 2005.
