NC school bus with 37 students aboard crashes, 6 injured

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) — A school bus with several students aboard crashed in east Charlotte Wednesday morning, injuring six people.

Brian Hacker with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools says Garinger High School bus 195 was carrying 37 students when it crashed on Hickory Grove Road at Martha’s Ridge Drive.

Six people were treated for minor injuries and sent to Carolinas Medical Center and Novant, Medic says.

It happened around 6:49 a.m.

There’s no word on what caused the crash.
