RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A 27-year-old woman was shot in the face early Thursday morning during a domestic incident, Raleigh police said.
Around 1:15 a.m., Raleigh police responded to an apartment in the 900 block of East Six Forks Road.
Rockele Jean Bryant was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.
She was transported to WakeMed with what police said are non-life threatening injuries.
William Arthur Davis, 35, was taken into custody and was also taken to WakeMed. Davis’ medical treatment was not related to the shooting or his arrest, police said.
Davis will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon once he is released from the hospital.
Raleigh police said the shooting was a domestic incident.
No other information was immediately available.
