DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man was fatally shot as he walked home from work Thursday, Durham County officials said.
Eric Ray, 33, of 3212 Fayetteville Street was shot in the 3700 block of Angier Avenue, the county sheriff’s office said.
Investigators don’t have a motive yet, but are searching for a burgundy sedan seen leaving the area, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office released surveillance video of the person of interest and the vehicle they believe may be connected to the murder.
Investigators are also interested in talking with the owner of a white Chevy pickup truck seen parked at the gas station.
Deputies closed the street between Glover and Wrenn roads while evidence was collected, but it has since reopened, deputies said.
