CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department has arrested and charged seven suspects in relation to a September double homicide that took place in a house under construction.
Six of the men are facing murder charges.
The homicides occurred in the 15000 block of Chesdin Green Way on Sunday, September 4.
Police responded to the scene around 2 a.m. after reports of shots fired.
Upon arriving and checking the scene, police found two people dead of gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Duval Turner Jr., 22, and Marc Starkes, 24.
A third shooting victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On Thursday, over 100 law enforcement personnel executed search warrants at the residences of the suspected killers.
The operation involved the Chesterfield County Police Department, Richmond City Police Department, Henrico County Police Division, Richmond FBI, Virginia State Police and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.
The following suspects were taken into custody without incident and charged with second-degree murder, gang participation and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in relation to the incident:
- Djion C. Bowles, 20, of Richmond
- Kennson Clairsaint, 20, of Richmond
- Corey T. Harris, 19, of Chesterfield
- Kendric R. Hill, 20, Chesterfield
- Devin D. Taylor, 21, of Richmond
- Tevon J. Todd, 18, of Chesterfield
Devontrey Harris was also arrested, but he was only charged with gang participation and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
