Florida man shoved steak, lobster down his pants in failed shoplifting attempt, police say

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) – A 57-year-old man tried to steal from a Florida Walmart by stuffing steak and lobster down his pants, police say.

Mark Alan Belkola is accused of using the ruse to try to steal six packages of steak and two packs of lobster, the Brooksville Police Department says. The food had a total of $172.98, police say.

The incident occurred on Thursday at the 7305 Broad St. store in Brooksville, according to police.

Belkola is being held on a $2,000 bond, police say.
