RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Dozens of Hillary Clinton supporters sported pantsuits to dance in an event on Sunday.
They gathered outside the Raleigh Convention Center dancing to Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” and wearing colorful outfits that they say Clinton has made her trademark.
They call it “Pantsuit Power.”
The group was made up of both semi-professional dancers and so-called “civilian” dancers.
It was organized by GASP NC, which stands for Girlfriends Actively Supporting Progress, though formerly, it has stood for Girlfriends Actively Supporting the President and Girlfriends Appalled by Sarah Palin.
“As toxic as this campaign has been, we think it’s time to have a little fun,” member of the GASP network Carter Worthy said. “We’ve got a great candidate. We’re really super psyched about her. So, we thought it was a beautiful day to get people out and have some fun to support Hillary.”
Multiple cameras captured the dancers during multiple takes.
A video of a similar ‘Pantsuit Power’ event in New York recently drew thousands of views online.
Raleigh native and choreographer, Ashley Lindsey, now lives in New York City, where he participated in the event the first time. He also choreographed and directed today’s flash mob in Raleigh.
