LUMBERTON, N.C. (WNCN) – Former President Bill Clinton stopped in Lumberton Wednesday to meet with families affected by Hurricane Matthew.
He’s been campaigning for his wife across Eastern North Carolina but stopped to speak with people like Judy Locklear.
She said she had to swim out of her home during Matthew’s floods.
“Everything. I lost everything. I’m 55 years old and it’s hard. It’s hard on me,” Locklear said.
Locklear says she is staying in a hotel until she can get a permanent home.
She said FEMA is helping her get back on her feet.
