Investigators don’t have a motive yet, but are searching for a burgundy sedan seen leaving the area, deputies said.

The sheriff’s office released surveillance video of the person of interest and the vehicle they believe may be connected to the murder.

Investigators are also interested in talking with the owner of a white Chevy pickup truck seen parked at the gas station.

A “significant number people” can be seen in the area based on surveillance footage. Investigators hope someone in the area at that time can provide information.

Detectives are urging other motorists and pedestrians in the 3700 block of Angier Avenue between 6:30 p.m and 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 20 to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (919) 560-0900 or Durham CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
