Moore County authorities on scene of fatal tractor-trailer vs. pedestrian collision

SEVEN LAKES, N.C. (WNCN) — Moore County authorities are on scene of a fatal tractor-trailer vs. pedestrian collision on N.C. Highway 211, a Moore County Sheriff’s Office official said.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. on N.C. Highway 211 at McLendon Hills in the West End/Seven Lakes area of Moore County.

Sheriff’s deputies, firefighters and other first responders are on scene investigating the collision.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed that the pedestrian was killed in the incident.

Traffic is being diverted from the area of sheriff’s office officials advise travelers to find alternate routes.

No other details have been released.
