FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A seventh person has accused former coach Rodney Scott of a sex crime, Fayetteville police said.
Scott, who was already facing more than 50 charges in the case, is now facing an additional count of indecent liberties with a child, stemming from an incident in June 2009, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
The accuser was 16 when the incident took place, police said.
Scott’s bond was raised by $50,000, and he’s still in the Cumberland County Detention Center, according to police. His bond now totals $17,675,000, police said.
Police are asking anyone who believes they have been a victim or know someone they believe has been the victim of any crime involving Scott to contact Det. D. Riggott at (910) 723-2878.
