RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The third serious motorcycle crash on Saturday in the Triangle area shut down parts of Capital Blvd. in Raleigh.
The wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. on Capital near Highwoods and initially closed all southbound lanes of Capital.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials later said.
One lane reopened around 6:15 p.m. and by 6:30 p.m. all but one lane was reopened. The entire road opened later in the evening.
In other motorcycle crashes on Saturday, two people were hurt in a wreck in the 300 block of Black Forest Dr. in Clayton on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was hurt after colliding with an SUV in Morrisville on Saturday afternoon.
