HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The reward into the Orange County Republican headquarters firebombing investigation has doubled just as the office plans to reopen.
The state Republican Party is matching the governor’s reward, bringing the total to $10,000.
Someone threw a Molotov cocktail into the Hillsborough building’s front window, causing a fire, which destroyed the inside. The same culprits spray painted hateful graffiti on the outside of the building in the early-morning hours of Oct. 16.
Federal investigators are going through tips and combing through hours of surveillance video hoping to discover a lead.
The office will reopen Wednesday morning, just a few yards away from the old one which was at 347 Ja-Max Drive
