SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. (WNCN) — One person was hurt in a drive-by shooting in Southern Pines on Wednesday night.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office says the incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. at a home along South Carlisle Street in Southern Pines.

Many bullet casings were seen on the ground along South Carlisle Street and a man was hurt in the incident, officials told the Aberdeen Times.

The drive-by shooting happened at a home near the intersection of South Carlisle Street and Illinois Avenue.  The man who was injured was taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Police say they’re looking for a white or silver SUV with out-of-state tags. No other suspect description information was available.
