2 arrests made in Tarboro murder

TARBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – A 20-year-old Tarboro murder suspect was arrested Thursday morning in Rocky Mount, police confirmed.

Darius Council has been charged with first-degree murder, going armed to the terror of the public, and felony probation violation in connection with October 23 killing of Reginald “Reggie” Alston.

He is being held at the Edgecombe County Detention Center without bond.

The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. at Pender Square Apartments at 500 Benson Drive in Tarboro.

Police said that a “disturbance” escalated into a shooting that killed 30-year-old man Alston.

Moleshia Moody was arrested Thursday and charged with accessory after the fact. She is being held at the Edgecombe County Detention Center under $25,000 bond.

Police said more arrests will be made.
