WOODRUFF, SC (WSPA) – A body has been found on the South Carolina property where a missing woman was found chained in a storage unit, The Spartanburg Herald Journal reports.
The Spartanburg County Coroner was called to the scene in Woodruff Kala Brown was found Thursday.
The coroner arrived on the property just before 11 a.m.
The coroner has confirmed to the Spartanburg Herald Journal a body was found.
Todd Kohlhepp has been charged with kidnapping Brown after being taken into custody Thursday.
Kohlhepp has a bond hearing set for 2 p.m. Friday.
Sheriff Chuck Wright said they found Kala Brown “chained up like a dog” with a chain around her neck in a 30×15 metal container for two months.
Brown had been missing from Anderson County since August 31. Her boyfriend, Charles Carver, is still missing.
Carver’s car could be seen being towed from the property where Brown was found.
She told investigators she was being fed while held captive.
The hospital operator said Brown has been released from the hospital.
