Raleigh break-in suspect caught on camera

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Raleigh police are asking for help with identifying a suspect in an attempted break-in on Northclift Drive Thursday.

Just before noon, a man wearing a Chicago Bulls jacket approached the home in the 1000 block of Northclift Drive. The suspect can be seen on surveillance video ringing the door bell and then sitting down next to the door.

A 911 call made regarding the incident was made by the residence’s owner. He told the 911 dispatcher someone had attempted to break into his home with in the previous three weeks.

The caller said he installed a security camera and it captured someone pulling the screen off the kitchen window.

As the caller was requesting police assistance, he saw the suspect attempting to break into his home at that moment.

Raleigh police officers arrived on scene and chased the suspect but he was not apprehended.

The suspect is said to stand 6 feet tall.
