ZEBULON, N.C. (WNCN) — Some people in Zebulon are getting help casting their votes this year with a free ride to the polls.
Thomas Allen runs a transportation service business in Wake County. Today he’s helping people who wouldn’t usually have a ride to the polling sites get out and vote.
He was the busiest this morning, giving nearly 30 rides before noon.
Allen said although he’s thrown his support behind a certain candidate, it doesn’t matter to him who his riders vote for.
“That’s something I don’t really get into with the rider. You know whoever they decide they want to vote for, that’s great,” he said.
Allen will be working until the polls close at 7:30 p.m.
