DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Officials in Durham were combing a wooded area on Wednesday afternoon for what they believe may be an exploded meth lab, police said.
Police got a call about a man with severe burns near the intersection of East Club Boulevard and Ambridge Street just after 2 p.m.
When police got there, the burned man told officers that he had been in a meth lab explosion, but couldn’t say exactly where the lab was, according to a police news release.
Officers and firefighters were looking for the blown up lab and anyone else who might be injured, police said.
Police said that when it became dark on Wednesday, they called off the search for the night.
