Police ask public’s help identifying Fayetteville bank robber

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A man used a note to rob a Fayetteville bank Thursday afternoon, police said.

The man walked into the First Citizens Bank at 126 Broadfoot Ave. just before 4:30 p.m., walked up to a teller and gave the teller a note demanding money, Fayetteville police said.

Detectives have distributed images from the bank’s surveillance camera system and are asking for the public’s help identifying the robber.

He is described as a black man with a beard, according to police. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a green coat, a black shirt and blue jeans, police said.
